Hard Drive

Out of room to store all those photo's? Need more space for those downloaded movies and music? An upgraded hard drive is for you. Our hard disk upgrades include reloading your old programs and data on the new drive. These new Hard Disk Drives are not just bigger; they are faster with data transfer rates of 300Mbps compared to 33Mbps of older drives. Optical Drives

Upgrade or add  CD and DVD burning capability. Turn your PC into a recording studio. With advancements in optical technology, you can now burn (copy) music, pictures and even HD movies. This is accomplished with the use of Blu Ray drives with a capacity of up to 50GB!
 

RAM (Random Access Memory)

This is the single most effective and efficient upgrade. Older PC's are usually restricted to the use of 256-512Mb. Newer systems use DDR-3 and start at 2Gb, and have maximums of up to 16Gb. USB 2.0

Most new components now use USB 2.0. You can have USB cards added to your system to give you access to its higher performance and expandability.

VIDEO CARD

You will need a better video card if you want to play PC games. Many of the most popular games like CIV, Starcraft, Sims, require upgraded video cards. Even some online games now require upgraded video cards. Older PC's had PCI or AGP interfaces. Newer systems all use PCI-Express. More advanced systems actually use (2) PCI-Express cards connected together.

Power Supply

A new power supply will be necessary is you add high end hardware. Additional drives, video cards, and RAM can need additional power to run at it's recommended levels. Standard PC's usually have power supplies of 250-350 watts. Upgrade options include power supply's in the 750-1150 watt range.

Motherboard

Upgrade Motherboard and/or Processor Chip
It is less expensive to upgrade the processor chip but not as productive as replacing the motherboard. However, upgrading the motherboard may require additional upgrades to other components. Upgrades of this type will speed up your system. With processors over the 3Ghz mark, you can experience faster downloads, and quicker start-ups with a more powerful machine.
